We discovered early on that the best marketing for Chinese medicine practitioners is education. This resource guide was an important milestone in telling the company’s unique story, including herb procurement and processing, while at the same time communicating that the company has established a direct trade relationship with small family farms in China. The book is an important clinical tool for Chinese medicine practitioners as well as an academic treatise, educational tool, and product guide. Each 4-8 page product plate contains 10-12 elements of highly technical Chinese medical information, as well as specific clinical protocols for using the products. This product guide also contains unique indexes, appendices, and various charts for cross referencing throughout the book.

Skills & Deliverables

For printing, I used a small family owned printer in Korea who employees environmentally sound inks and presses to print an initial run of 3,000 copies of a spiral bound workbook, and limited number of hardbound for showcasing. The company also needed a digital version, so we added a limited interactivity to create a digital version for a variety of device sizes.
